Testimonials

Dear Sirs,
EPPM is a Swiss engineering firm specializing in power generation and power
plant management.
More than two years ago, we recognized an opportunity existed in Italy,
and throughout the European Union, to transform everyday waste into electricity.
In particular, Italy is dependent on others for their electricity, having
few natural resources of their own to be used in generating power. The government,
too, recognized this and instituted a program to encourage companies to
find 'green' (non-fossil) energy sources.
EPPM searched for a partner for this enterprise, and happily, encountered
SENREQ. Almost from the start, it was apparent that considerable synergy
existed between the two firms. SENREQ had the technology we were looking
for to incorporate into our envisioned solution for this very significant
opportunity. We had the market domain and sales opportunities. The chemistry
between SENREQ's management team and ours was apparent from our first visit.
Our technical staffs meshed well together also.
We look forward to a very long and mutually profitable partnership.
Best regards
Sergio Passot
General Manager

Re: SENREQ Waste Gasification Process
CRE Group Ltd is an independent energy and environmental consultancy
business operating in the UK and Western Europe. Formerly the Coal
Research Establishment of the British Coal Corporation, the company has
more than fifty years of experience in the development of process
technology to improve energy efficiency and to reduce the environmental
impact of energy utilization. Historically this work focused on the use
of coal. However, with recent changes in the pattern of fuel use, and
the increased interest in renewable sources of energy, attention within
the company has moved towards the use of alternative fuels such as
biomass and waste.
Waste disposal in the UK faces increasing problems due to more stringent
regulations, increasing pressure on the availability of space for
landfill, as well as the public intolerance for mass burn incineration.
In recent years, CRE has taken a close interest in possible alternatives
to the conventional disposal routes for waste and recognized the
potential benefits that small-scale, community-based waste management
schemes offer both to industry and, in particular, the local population.
Small-scale waste gasification process technology appears to offer
significant benefits to the waste disposal sector both in terms of lower
capital costs and, equally importantly, environmental performance. The
SENREQ waste gasification process technology was developed in the US by
Michael Pope of the USA. The process has undergone an extensive program
of development and refinement such that it is now being promoted
extensively in the US, Europe and elsewhere in the world. As part of the
development program, SENREQ LLC worked closely with the Western
Institute in Wyoming, an organization with a similar background to that
of CRE through its association with the coalmining industry in the US.
CRE has undertaken a detailed review of process information relating to
the operation of the SENREQ technology on a wide range of waste streams.
Using test methods identical to many of those used by CRE, the Western
Institute, and SENREQ themselves, have demonstrated that the operation
of the SENREQ Waste Gasification Process can achieve the levels of
efficiency and environmental performance required to comply with the
most stringent environmental regulations. Of particular relevance to the
UK situation is the ability of the SENREQ system to meet the emission
standards of the EC Waste Incineration Directive. The SENREQ process
also offers benefits in terms of solid residues that are relatively
undamaged by the thermal processing, and of a quality that renders them
suitable for recycling without further treatment.
CRE Group Ltd recognizes the potential benefits of the SENREQ Process
technology and has entered into an agreement with Mr. Pope in the UK, to
provide technical support to the company. CRE will provide assistance on
a range of environmental issues that must be addressed by potential
operators of the SENREQ process equipment. This will entail provision of
advice on legislative matters and environmental licensing required under
UK and EC Legislation. CRE will also provide advice and assistance to
potential operators on the monitoring of pollutant emissions to
demonstrate compliance with statutory limits.
Any queries relating to CRE’s involvement in the promotion of SENREQ
technology in the UK and Western Europe should be referred to Mr. Geoff
Fynes at the address above.
